If you are a first-generation and/or income-eligible student, what has your experience been like at UCSB?
I’m income eligible. It hasn’t been easy but there are lots of resources to use on campus.
What would you like to share with students about your experience at UCSB?
It’s not as intimidating as you think it would be and it’s easy to meet new people!
Top tips for students?
Creating an organized calendar with your schedule. Also I love grabbing food from the arbor and studying at the library with friends. The student resource building is also a great place to study if you want a change of scenery from the library. Lastly, the college and career center is great for resumé tips.

Staying organized and planning out classes far in advance.
Why did you choose to be an EOP peer mentor?
I love helping other students navigate their way through UCSB because I remember feeling confused and lost at some points at the beginning of my experience.
